The drum set features 13" hi-hats, 16" crash/ride cymbal, 16 x 22" bass drum, 9 x12" and 8 x 10" mounted toms, a 16 x 16" floor tom, and a 6.5 x 14" wood snare. The Accent series upgrades include micro classic lugs and Ludwig 200 series hardware. The geared, locking, and double-braced hardware includes a bass pedal, snare stand, cymbal stand, hi-hat stand, and drum throne. The new Vic Firth Peter Erskine Big Band Signature Stick is made of hickory and combines the shaft dimensions of a 5A and 5B. A long taper makes the rebound effortless yet maintains a full bodied sound, and a tear drop tip provides excellent cymbal definition. “As much as I love my Ride Stick,” Peter explains, “I found myself wanting and needing a slightly heavier stick. This is especially true when playing with a big band or other type of large ensemble. The larger sticks I tried did not have the same pleasant balance or assistive ‘throw’ that my Ride Stick has.
