Baroq-uleles: A Unique Line of Instruments
Inspired by the round-back guitar from Germany, the Baroq-uleles offer a wide range of options for musicians. The Baritone-sized instrument has a 480mm (19 inches) scale and features a European spruce soundboard with a beautiful four-point rosette design borrowed from a 17th-century lute. The back is crafted in a round-back or bowl shape using staves of sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo), while the neck is solid sheesham with a 36mm (1 7/16 inch) cattle-bone nut. Equipped with standard friction ukulele tuners, each tuner's tension can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the screw on top.
