Tony Succar's signature micro snare: an 8" head on a 4" deep steel shell, rainbow chrome-plated with black nickel hardware. A micro snare is the effects drum of a modern percussion rig: tight, high, and dry, for timbale-style cascara accents, backbeat splashes on a hybrid kit, or a second snare voice for a kit drummer. Tunes with a drum key, and the mount takes any 3/8" rod, so it hangs off a stand or rack next to the timbales.
