The deeper 6.5" x 14" version of PDP's limited-run 20-ply maple and walnut snare. Twenty plies is a very thick shell, and it plays like one: loud, focused, dry, with a sharp rimshot crack and little ring to tame. The extra inch of depth over the 5.5" gives it more body and a lower fundamental, so this is the one for players who want a fat backbeat rather than a crack. Walnut in the ply stack takes the edge off the maple's brightness.
