PDP Limited Edition 20-Ply Maple/Walnut 5.5x14 Snare Drum, Natural Satin

A limited-run PDP snare with a 20-ply maple and walnut shell, 5.5" x 14". Twenty plies is a very thick shell, and it plays like one: the drum is loud, focused, and dry, with a sharp crack on rimshots and not much ring to tame. Walnut in the ply stack takes some of the brightness off the maple, so it is fat rather than pingy. The kind of snare that sits at the front of a rock or worship mix without any help.

DW's MAG throw-off (magnetic, one-handed on and off), True Pitch tension rods for finer tuning, Remo heads, and a Natural Satin finish that shows the wood.
