A Ludwig Classic Maple snare, 6.5" x 14", in gloss natural maple. Classic Maple is Ludwig's 3-ply maple/poplar shell with reinforcement rings, the same shell as the Supraphonic's wood-shelled cousins on decades of records: warm, open, and with a wide tuning range, from a fat low crack to a tight high pop. The 6.5" depth gives it more body than the 5" version, and the P85 throw-off is the simple, reliable side lever Ludwig has fitted for years.
