Latin Percussion LP451 Multi-Guiro II

LP's Multi-Güiro II is two instruments in one hand: a stainless steel güiro with a shaker inside. Scrape the finely ridged side for a smooth, tight sound or flip it to the coarse side for a rougher, louder rasp; shake it for maracas-style fill on the off-beats. A screw-off fill cap lets you add or remove shot to set how loud the shaker is.

It's bigger than the original Multi-Güiro, so it sits better in an adult hand and cuts through a full band. LP's Torpedo scraper is in the box, and the steel body will survive years on a percussion table.
