John Pearse, a renowned folk guitarist from Britain, had a popular television show on BBC 2 where he taught and played guitar. In 1965, he teamed up with British Music Strings in London to create guitar strings that had a longer lifespan and a more precise vibrating and nodal pattern. The success of his designs led to both British Music Strings and Thomastik releasing strings under his name. In 1978, Pearse made his way to the United States where he introduced a line of music strings specifically tailored for professional musicians. These strings quickly gained popularity and became a favorite among musicians across the country.
