Hohner Marine Band Crossover Harmonica, Key of Db

The Crossover is the modern Marine Band: same reed plates and sound as the 1896, but on a sealed bamboo comb with screws instead of nails, so it doesn't swell and it opens up for cleaning. The reed plate edges and channel openings are rounded off, which you notice on the lips after a long set. Side-vented covers opened at the back for volume.

Key of Db is a horn-band key: it is the harp for songs in Db straight or Ab cross harp, and the one to have when a keyboard player calls a tune in a flat key.
