Hohner's Marine Band 1896 in natural minor tuning, key of B. Natural minor puts the minor-key notes under the easy draw bends, so blues, rock, and Latin tunes in a minor key play the way major-key tunes do on a standard harp, without having to fight the instrument. The key is labelled the way harp players use it, in second (cross) position: this one is for songs in B minor.
Otherwise a Marine Band: brass reed plates and steel covers nailed to a pearwood comb, curved covers with side vents for the original blues sound. The comb is sealed with two coats of clear lacquer, which takes care of the swelling the old unsealed Marine Bands were known for.
