If you're looking for that iconic 60s choral, jangly guitar sound made famous by bands like the Beatles and the Byrds, the Guild Starfire IV ST 12-String is the perfect choice. This thinbody semi-hollow electric guitar not only sounds great but also looks the part.
Based on the popular Starfire IV ST model, this 12-string version offers the added power of six more strings. It features premium components such as an all-mahogany body, solid spruce center block, ebony fingerboard, and Guild's signature mahogany neck with maple center seam.
Unlike the original Guild electric 12-string, the Starfire XII, which had a harp tailpiece, this modern version is equipped with a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. This design provides increased sustain and stability, essential for keeping the extra strings in tune.
The Starfire IV ST 12-String is outfitted with dual LB-1 "Little Bucker" pickups, which are replicas of Guild's original smaller size humbucking pickups. This guitar is available in Shoreline Mist and Cherry Red finishes and comes with a hardshell case included.
