Dream Cymbals DMFE20 Dark Matter Flat Earth Ride, 20"

The 20" Flat Earth from Dream's Dark Matter series: a flat ride with a small bell, re-fired to darken it. Dry and articulate off the stick, with a dark wash underneath, and the small bell gives you a bell note the fully flat 22" doesn't have. Twenty inches keeps it a touch quicker and higher than the 22", the size for small rooms and quieter bands.

Dark Matter is Dream's re-fired series: each cymbal is micro-lathed by hand, then put back in the fire, which darkens the bronze and roughens the surface. The result is dry, dark, and trashy in the good sense, with a fast decay. Hand-made, so no two are identical.
