Valencia VZCA1 Flamenco Castanets, Teak

A pair of teak flamenco castanets from Valencia. As with a traditional set, the two are pitched differently: the lower one (the macho) keeps the basic pulse in the left hand and the higher one (the hembra) plays the rolls and faster figures in the right.

Single-hole design mounts on a standard cord, and they come in a small carry pouch. A sensible first set for students, or for a percussionist who needs castanets on a gig without paying for a pro-grade pair.
