Sennheiser MKH 8020 Omnidirectional RF Condenser Microphone

The MKH 8020 is Sennheiser's omni from the MKH 8000 series — the RF-condenser family that has recorded orchestras and film sound for decades. RF biasing makes it essentially immune to humidity (these work on rainforest shoots), self-noise is vanishingly low, and the response runs flat from 10 Hz to 60 kHz, past the edges of high-sample-rate recording. The omni is the purist's pattern: no proximity effect, the truest low end, the natural choice for main pairs, ambience, and spaced arrays. Modular: the capsule head separates from the XLR module.
